‘The Ecstasy of Wilko Johnson’ by Julien Temple

December 2015 Jenny was honored to handle the UK press for Julien Temple’s extraordinary feature documentary ‘The Ecstasy of Wilko Johnson’

The film was received with real acclaim by the critics. Of Temple himself the Guardian wrote ‘Like Wilko, his films exude an irrepressibly punky joie de vivre. Encore!’ Uncut described the film as ‘inspiring stuff’ and The Independent said ‘there is something comical but uplifting in the baffled ecstasy he feels in still being alive’.

Despite rapid progress, HIV/AIDS remains a significant problem across East and Southern Africa. African women are bearing the brunt of the epidemic, but they are also leading the fightback.

mothers2mothers employs and trains HIV-positive women to deliver health services, advice, and support to women and their families at health facilities and in local communities. Regrets by artist Robin Lee

In 2015 artist and filmmaker Robin Lee held an Alternative Valentine’s Show at Barts Pathology Museum, part of Queen Mary University of London.

Forget about candied hearts and flowers, audience members were asked to confront their mortality, and contemplate what they might rectify before it’s too late, with ‘REGRETS’ – a multi-media exhibition not for the faint hearted.

The exhibition featured in Time Out, Metro, Disorder magazine and Robin was interviewed by The Guardian, BBC London and BBC World Service amongst others.

The White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood

Jenny worked with the UK arm of international maternal health advocacy NGO The White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood for several years. In that time she worked on creative campaigns such as #HelloMum at Glastonbury Festival; with high profile supporters around the world (pictured Arianna Huffington, Donna Karan and Patron Sarah Brown being interviewed by ABC at an event in NYC); and with Citizen Reporters campaigning to get more citizens – especially women – at the top table of events and talks affecting their lives such as the UNGA.
